Food Insecurity / Waste Prevention

Feed It Forward is a program created by Toronto chef Jagger Gordon in response to the staggering amounts of unused food that gets tossed into the waste bin instead of being redirected to those experiencing food insecurity.  Not only does the program redirect food to those in need it also helps reduce food waste. 

 

Food insecurity and food waste are important issues to La Compagnie Artisans de la Paix and we support Feed It Forward for taking the lead and combating these issues head on.

Feed It Forward also has a 'pay-what-you-can Soup Bar as well as Grocery Store; both being the first of their kind! 

There are also volunteer opportunities available.
